The Bible is organised into two main parts: the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament contains 39 books that cover God’s covenant with Israel and is divided into categories such as Law (Genesis–Deuteronomy), History (Joshua–Esther), Poetry/Wisdom (Job–Song of Solomon) and Prophets (Isaiah–Malachi). The New Testament, made up of 27 books, reveals God’s new covenant through Jesus Christ and includes Gospels (Matthew–John), History (Acts), Letters/Epistles (Romans–Jude), and Prophecy (Revelation). Together these sections tell the unified story of God’s relationship with humanity from creation and covenant to redemption and eternal life.
